Dorset House is a replacement two storey dwelling takes advantage of the stunning long views over the Jurassic Coast and out to sea. The house replaced a 1930’s bungalow, bringing the site up to modern living standards. The design makes use of defining stone walls at ground to divide the plot between public and private and give a sense of orientation to the house. Upon crossing the threshold through the wall, the long views out over the hills reveal themselves. Atop this rests a timber clad volume containing the master suite and three guest bedrooms. The master suite features an external balcony which offers elevated panoramic views over the hills.
